Rabbi Sender Terhovitzer, of blessed memory, composed several melodies. Among them the melody sung in Breslov for Tefillas Geshem V’Tal.

​Rabbi Avraham ben R’ Nachman generally did not pray as the Shliach Tzibur. Once, he led the davening on Shemini Atzeres which for him was Simchas Torah, as he conducted himself according to the customs of someone living in Eretz Yisroel and requested to be given Maftir. Afterwards, he led Musaf and Tefillas Tal using the melody composed by Rabbi Sender Terhovitzer,

תפלת טל – רבי סענדער טרהוויצער ז”ל, חיבר כידוע כמה וכמה ניגונים, ביניהם הניגון המושר בפי אנ”ש על ‘תפלת טל’ והניגון על הזמר ‘ידיד נפש’ וכן הניגון על הפסוק ‘אם זכרתיך על יצועי’, ‘עבר קציר כלה קיץ’ ועוד. [שש”ק ד, רעח]. דיבורי אמונה ג, סו.

רבי אברהם בדרך כלל לא היה מתפלל כשליח ציבור, פעם התפלל לפני העמוד בשמיני עצרת שאצלו היה אז שמחת תורה, כי נהג בעצמו כתושב ארץ ישראל, ובקש שיתנו לו מפטיר, ואחר כך התפלל מוסף ו’טל’ כנוסח הניגון שחובר על ידי רבי סענדער טרהוויצער, והתפלל כנוסח בדייקנות. [שש”ק הישן ג, תקי].

ראבר”נ ז”ל הוא אשר שילב בתפלת טל את הניגון הידוע שחברו רבי סענדער טרהויצער ז”ל, ומני אז נתקבל בקרב אנשי שלומנו. [שש”ק ו, עו].
