One of the great classics of the Golden Age of Chazzanus, “Hamavdil” was composed by the legendary Cantor Yossele Rosenblatt (1882–1933). Set to the beloved Motzaei Shabbos piyut “Hamavdil bein kodesh l’chol, chatoseinu Hu yimchol,” the composition moves between majestic, uplifting passages and deeply expressive moments of prayer and supplication.

In this special performance, four chazzanim — Nissim Saal, Cantor Yehuda Tombek, Yisrael Schwartz, and Shimmy Kaplan — join together to bring Rosenblatt’s timeless composition to life.

Conducted by Moshe Slush, and accompanied by orchestra and the Shtele Choir, the performance brings together four distinctive cantorial voices with the richness of choir and orchestra, capturing the grandeur, emotion, and unmistakable spirit of Rosenblatt’s chazzanus.

אחת מיצירות החזנות הקלאסיות והמפורסמות מתקופת הזהב של החזנות, “המבדיל”, בלחנו של החזן האגדי יוסל’ה רוזנבלט (1882–1933). היצירה הולחנה למילות הפיוט האהוב למוצאי שבת, “המבדיל בין קודש לחול, חטאתינו הוא ימחול”, ומשלבת קטעים מרוממים ומלאי הוד לצד רגעים עמוקים של תפילה ותחנונים.

בביצוע מיוחד זה חוברים יחד ארבעה חזנים — ניסים סאל, החזן יהודה טומבק, ישראל שוורץ ושימי קפלן — לביצוע משותף של יצירתו הנצחית של רוזנבלט.

בניצוחו של משה סלושץ, בליווי תזמורת ומקהלת שטעלע, משלב הביצוע ארבעה קולות חזניים ייחודיים עם עוצמת המקהלה והתזמורת, ומביא לידי ביטוי את ההדר, הרגש והרוח המיוחדת של החזנות הקלאסית מבית מדרשו של יוסל’ה רוזנבלט.
