Two boys walk into Zaidy’s seforim room with one question: Hashem made the world in six days — HOW?

Zaidy pulls a brand-new Chumash off the shelf, and the words themselves start to make the world. יהי אור — and light erupts out of the letters. תדשא הארץ — and the letters sink into the ground and a forest comes up. Day by day, pasuk by pasuk, the whole of Bereishis Perek Aleph, in plain English, exactly as the Torah tells it.

And then Zaidy pours a cup of wine — and the six days come back. יום הששי… ויכלו השמים והארץ. The whole Kiddush, drawn in the wine.

Episode 1 of Zaidy’s Parsha Adventures — a new parsha film every week, for kids and the grown-ups who learn with them.

Next week: פרשת נח (something’s hiding in that sefer…)

זקניך ויאמרו לך — ask your zaidy, and he will tell you.
