Akiva | Moshe Auslander

Four tannaim stand on the ruins of the Beis HaMikdash, watching a fox walk out of the holiest place on earth. They weep, but Rabbi Akiva laughs. When he explains why, they turn to him and say: “Akiva Nichamtanu, Akiva Nichamtanu.” Akiva, you have comforted us.
What did he show them? That the ruin was not the end of the story, but the middle of it. It is all part of Hashemโ€™s plan. Hashem is with us in the pain and with us in the joy. He is always there, and He is always with us.
“Akiva Nichamtanu” is the moment grief turns into trust: the loss you are staring at is simply the ground being prepared for something greater. Sing it through the pain and sing it through the good, because both are held by the same hand, and the plan is already in motion.

Shoutout to Heilige Brother Sam Tennebaum and his Heilige son Akiva for inspiring the song.
